Greece Tour Packages, explained honestly

Every route, season and price band we plan at Elysian Greece — family escapes, honeymoon retreats and fully bespoke journeys — laid out in one guide, with transparent pricing. No jargon, no "starting from" games: here is what Greece actually costs and how to choose.

01. Why choose a Greece tour package?

Greece rewards the well-planned. Ferries that look simple on a map become five-hour crossings in August heat; the cave suite you loved on Instagram is sold out two summers ahead. A package — done properly — means someone has already held the rooms, timed the transfers and reserved the sunset table before you land.

At Elysian Greece every package is private and tailor-made: you choose the islands and the pace, we compose the days. All journeys are quoted and billed with no hidden costs, and a single concierge stays with you from first call to final farewell.

  • Private by default — your own transfers, guides and tables; never a coach with 40 strangers.
  • Island-hopping, solved — flights, ferries and helicopters booked as one seamless chain.
  • Pricing — pay in rupees, with GST-ready invoices and no forex surprises.
  • One concierge, 24/7 — on WhatsApp throughout your journey.

02. Best time to visit Greece

Blue domes of Oia, Santorini beneath a violet dusk sky
Dusk over Oia, Santorini — June light

May – June and September – October · our pick

Warm seas, long light, and the islands at their most beautiful without peak-season crowds. Hotels are 20–35% gentler on the wallet than August.

July – August · peak

Electric atmosphere, best for sailing and beach clubs — also the busiest and priciest weeks. Book 6–9 months ahead for the best villas.

November – April · value

Athens, Delphi and the mainland shine in winter light; islands quiet down. Excellent for museum-rich, city-and-countryside itineraries at attractive prices.

08. What's included & what's not

Included in every Elysian Greece package

  • Hand-picked stays — villas, cave suites or five-star hotels
  • All private transfers and inter-island ferries / domestic flights
  • Guided experiences with licensed local experts
  • One dedicated concierge, 24/7, before and during travel
  • Transparent, itemised pricing

Not included

  • International airfare to/from Athens (we happily advise on the best routing)
  • Schengen visa fee and travel insurance
  • Personal shopping and meals unless specified in your itinerary

09. Visa, flights & money tips for Indian travellers

Visa

Greece is part of the Schengen area — Indian citizens apply for a Schengen (Type C) visa through the Greece visa application centres in India. Apply 4–6 weeks before travel; we provide a full document pack with your confirmed itinerary, hotel vouchers and cover letters.

Flights

No direct India–Athens flights yet: the smoothest one-stop routings are via Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi or Istanbul (10–13 hours total). Business-class fares from ₹1.6L return in low season.

Money

Greece spends in Euros (€). Carry a forex card plus a little cash for tavernas and tips; cards are accepted almost everywhere. Your Elysian Greece journey itself is quoted and billed entirely — that's our promise.

10. Frequently asked questions

How many days are enough for Greece?

Eight nights is the sweet spot — two in Athens plus two islands. Six nights covers Athens + Santorini beautifully; ten or more lets you add Crete or a sailing leg without rushing.

Which is better for a honeymoon — Santorini or Mykonos?

Santorini for romance and views, Mykonos for energy and beaches. Most couples give both two to three nights each, moving by ferry or helicopter.

Is Greece expensive from India?

It can be — or it can be excellent value. Travelling in May, June or September with thoughtfully chosen stays brings a full private package to ₹1.45–2L per person. August luxury villas sit at the top of the range.

Do you arrange everything?

Yes. Every quote, invoice and payment at Elysian Greece is in Indian Rupees — including the on-ground services in Greece. No forex mark-ups, no hidden costs.

Can you handle vegetarian and Jain meals?

Absolutely — and halal, Jain, and gluten-free too. Tell your concierge once; every restaurant, chef and villa on your route will know before you arrive.

How far in advance should we book?

For May–October: 4–6 months for the best villas and suites, 6–9 months for August. We do also craft beautiful journeys at short notice — just ask.

Limited seasonal capacity

Tell us your dates — we'll suggest the islands.
